Quiet day

Everyday life can be hectic and stressful for some of us. There is nothing better than to retreat for a day and experience the magic of silence. I would like to share this inner peace with you. We will be quiet all day, aware of our breath, taking moments for ourselves, meditating and listening to the silence. The quiet days that I offer are on a donation basis, on a small scale in my own house. They are mixed gatherings, so everyone is welcome. You can also participate online from your own living room. You can arrive at 9.30:12.30 AM, 15.30:XNUMX PM or XNUMX:XNUMX PM and stay as long as you like.

9:30 am Arrival / tea / coffee

10:00 am Breath Meditation
Connecting with your breath can dampen stress and open a door to a healthier and more mindful lifestyle. One of the easiest ways to reduce stress is to simply focus your attention on your breathing. You will notice an immediate sense of relaxation that over time can help protect your health. There are many forms of breathing meditation where you consciously change the rhythm, speed or depth of your breathing. These forms of breath meditation can be a gateway to the practice of 'mindfulness', in which you learn to accept and appreciate what comes in life.

12:30 pm Arrival / lunch

13:00 PM Silent meditation
The nature of your mind is to generate thoughts. Like the ocean, it has its own rhythm and flow. It is to be respected, not feared or contested. Once you stop fighting your thoughts and let it flow naturally, you can begin to retreat into the depths of your inner self beyond the chaos and distraction.

15:30 Arrival / tea / snack

16:00 PM Movement Meditation
Sitting still is quite difficult for most people because we are used to being exposed to stimuli all day long, while your body needs exercise. Movement meditation ensures that you quickly find your peace and return with your attention. You make an inner journey through an alternation of intensive and subtle movement. By focusing attention on your body, you experience what is going on inside you.

17:00 End of official program.

Afterwards there is the opportunity to share your experience of the day. In a sharing circle you can share how you feel and what is happening in your life. There may be a potluck dinner and chat for those who want to stay for the evening or stay overnight. And maybe there's a fun self-touch session or a board game. The evening is not part of the official program.
