Stress and burnout coaching

Stress coaching is aimed at lowering your stress levels and insight into your own stress sources. I help you deal better with situations in which you experience stress. In this way you ensure a sustainable, balanced, motivated and vital commitment of yourself.

Burnout coaching requires a different approach. With a burnout, physical and psychological complaints arise, because you are no longer able to reduce stress. Burnout is a disruption of physiological mechanisms, which normally ensure that you can deliver extra performance in stressful situations. You have exhausted yourself mentally or physically during a prolonged exploitation process. I can help you to prevent burnout or to take the first steps, to learn what it takes to take better care of yourself.

Step by step we work on restoring balance in your life and work. You can think of the following six steps:

1. Introduction and acceptance of reality

First of all, it is important to face reality. It doesn't go on like this. The factors that cause you stress are different for everyone. Every burnout is also different and this requires customization. Together we analyze your patterns that have led to the situation you are now in.

2. Recover energy and physical condition

We are going to lower your stress level. Preferably in nature, where the green tones bring peace. Or a quiet place where there are few stimuli, away from your everyday environment. I will teach you exercises to relax more deeply, release thoughts and emotions and listen to your body. Together we examine your physical and mental condition and ability to experience peace.

3. Dealing with stress and emotions

In this phase the body has built a stable base of rest. Now it is possible to go deeper into the situation. We gain insight into your behavioral patterns and pitfalls. Where necessary, we look back to the genesis, so that you understand how this pattern came about.

4. Resilience and self-care

Now that it is clear when stress arises and which pitfalls you have with it, we can get started with skills. We work on your resilience and practice taking better care of yourself. This will make you more resistant to future challenges.

5. Meaning, life mission and motives

What gives you energy? What has always motivated and excited you? What do you want to mean for yourself, for others and for the world? What is really meaningful to you? An answer to these questions gives you an entrance for the way out of the valley, to new motivation and energy. Perhaps there is also a reason to make structural changes in your work and private situation.

6. Balance between work, social life and time for yourself

When you slowly start to feel like socializing again, to undertake things and perhaps also to resume work, we will look at how you can find a new balance in this. What is needed to maintain inner peace and to deal with setbacks? You can start experimenting with everything you have learned in practice. You can do that by trial and error, as if you were reborn.
