Body-oriented mindfulness

With body-oriented mindfulness Tijs helps you to get more in touch with your body. In addition to meditation, we work with your posture, with movement and with the expression of yourself as instruments. Through a deeper contact with your body you also encounter unconscious and blocked parts in yourself. By directly experiencing your body you become aware of tension, relaxation and movement in your body and you also come into contact with emotions. This provides the foundation for transformation.

Among your immediate needs and impulses are often deeper motives and desires that form your personality. I help you recognize them, after which you can express and pronounce them for yourself. You then have the choice to accept them and act accordingly. In this way you come closer to yourself and you can better express who you really are.

  1. Last week I had an evaluation of my individual body-oriented coaching. With my partner! It draws Tijs's way of working. He not only focuses on the individual process, but also involves, of course, the social environment. Professional, relevant and personally involved! Nice to openly connect my personal process with my relationship.
    I now know that answers always raise new questions. It is never finished ... and yet it surprises me every time. Even now there were pinpricks that mainly hurt afterwards. No, coaching at Tijs is not for whining, biting is part of it, but then it works!
    He knows what he is doing and does not do that with the blunt ax, but decisively and lovingly.
    So in good hands. On to a sequel ...

  2. Hey Tijs, there I am. After four years of self-chosen internet exile. Liberated thanks to a chance meeting with Sebastian. I knew a lot. I only need 2 seconds to recognize someone!
    Since I can now share almost all of the experiences described above after 2 x, I still opt for coaching, as being something in which I not only have to undergo something that was simply blissful, but that can also go the other way to happen.

  3. Review of individual body-oriented coaching

    This autumn I completed my coaching trajectory with Tijs. Looking back, I say: how much this has brought me! Super! For almost a year I had a session about monthly and in the last one I was allowed to perform a self-devised ritual, in which I integrated the 'old' and 'new' Gerard. It felt really good. I marked that my life has entered a new phase. I really feel like a different person; a new and nicer version of myself. Stronger, more energetic. I now see myself with different eyes, see and feel! that it is good and can also express this in my behavior. Not only knowing, but also doing something with it!
    Is it ready now? No, of course not, but I am now better equipped to walk my own path. In the very beginning it was quite difficult, without the support of Tijs. But I am strong and determined not to fall back into the - oh so easy - old (behavioral) patterns. It will 'just' succeed. With trial and error, that is part of it. And could I really get stuck again? Then I know where to find Tijs!

  4. I came to Tijs with the desire to get in touch more deeply with the lower parts of my body and in particular with my stomach.

    The contact was immediately very open and equal. Tijs used a nice combination of different disciplines and felt seamlessly what was needed. The supporting words matched perfectly, often made a deep impression and dropped quarters.

    The sessions have helped me to become more present in my body and therefore in the moment. This has given me more peace of mind around themes in my life. I don't get stuck in the stories in my head, I have learned that facing life from my body gives me a much firmer foundation. Because of this I finally manage to break free from all those thoughts and 'just' live life, with a bit more (self) confidence.

  5. Tijs helped me through a difficult period. Even though I am in my early 30s, when goals and dreams are broken, this causes a lot of stress and uncertainty. I had some sort of burnout symptoms and I was in desperate need of relaxing more and listening to myself better. Tijs taught me in a few sessions to get back in touch with my body. He did unexpected forms of bodywork, which always brought quite intense emotions to the surface, from sadness to strong feelings of pleasure. while I had hardly felt any emotions for years. I started feeling things again in daily life and life got more colour, also more peaks and troughs, that took some getting used to. The sessions sometimes seemed like a big cleaning inside, I was able to connect with old pain and let it go, which felt very liberating. And additional advantage: I have never had such good sex with my girlfriend as since the sessions with Tijs, everything seems to flow more in me. How beautiful life can be!
