Pelvic floor massage

Our pelvic floor is an important part of the body, with essential muscles for movement, carrying your body, sex, your breathing and digestion. There are also important organs that influence the pelvic floor: the prostate, the bladder and the rectum. 

You can see the basin as a bowl. If the pelvis is tilted, turned, or crooked, this can cause a lot of pain. Tension in the pelvis area also leads to pain for many people in the form of cramps and stings. A pelvic floor massage reduces the tension of the muscles, attachments and connective tissue.

There is a powerful energy center in your pelvic floor: your first chakra. That is where your feeling of vitality, well-being and well-being arises. At the same time, the pelvic floor is an unknown area for many. We only pay attention to it when problems arise. The muscles in and around the anus hold quite a bit of tension, which we are often unaware of. This automatic tightening in unsafe situations happens so often that we hardly notice it. Little by little, over the years, your pelvic floor muscle and your sphincter muscles contract. In this way a lot of emotional charge, stress, shame, tension, etc. collects. These old emotions, such as fear and anger, become embedded in your perineum and your anus area.

A pelvic floor massage ensures that you become aware of that tension. Once you are aware of it, the massage helps you to let go of the tension and experience a deep rest.

Your pelvic floor is also a source of excitement and pleasure, it is rich in nerve endings. So you can experience both pleasure and pain there. But old emotions can also be released. If you give it a little space, you will clean up emotionally.

Preparatory massage

Before the pelvic floor is massaged, other parts of the body are first massaged to create an overall relaxation. This ensures that the parasympathetic nervous system creates rest throughout the body. Muscles that have a direct or indirect relationship with the pelvic floor receive extra attention, such as the adductor muscles on the inside of the thigh, the lower abdominal muscles, the buttocks and lateral rotators of the pelvis and the hips.

You can suddenly sink deeper into your body and become absorbed in the moment. With an internal pelvic floor massage, the prostate can also be massaged.
