Tijs Breuer regularly organizes workshops to learn to massage, but also on themes such as contact, touch, mindfulness and tantra.

Learn and practice massage

Monthly massage meetups are organized in Utrecht. One month the gathering is for men only, while the next month it is a mixed evening for women, men, and other genders. There is also an active youth group ( YoungMeninTouchNL ), for which I organize massage workshops at various locations.

The massage meetups are meetings with a workshop-like character. You learn certain massage styles and techniques and there is an opportunity to exchange massages. The evenings have a different theme each time. Usually there are four massage rounds. partly with demonstration and practice, partly more freely and intuitively.

Costs in 2023

As of January 1, 2023, the price for participation is €30,00 per evening. You can purchase a ticket in advance or pay in cash on site. You can also buy a multi-event pass: 6 evenings for €150,00 (a €30,00 discount compared to individual tickets).

Registering

Registration is done through the Meetup site. So you have to register for this platform. You can then easily register for the announced events. Once you have registered on Meetup.com, you will receive updates of the next massage evenings in your mailbox. You can change the settings yourself so that you receive no or fewer e-mails. You don't need to bring anything. Massage oil, textiles, drinks and snacks are included.

Combination of yoga and massage

Massage & Yoga Explorations is a monthly series of meetups in Amsterdam where we explore various forms of yoga and movement practice combined with creative forms of massage, contact improvisation, and touch. Movement helps you dive into your body, playfully creating greater body awareness and increasing strength, flexibility, and mobility. We work with cross-disciplinary movement forms inspired by yoga, martial arts, dance, and breathwork. This will help you better understand your body and find your natural flow.

With playful touch we connect with ourselves and each other in a safe and conscious way. We can interact with our hands to create different body sensations. Creativity comes from within. In every part of your body there are different layers of feelings: tension, pleasure, fear, desire, etc. These feelings create an impulse to move. We use this movement to touch each other and create sensuality. The focus in this meetup will not be on erotic or sexual energy, but on your senses.
